What’s Still on Your Summer Bucket List? 🎯

**This is a 2-part email—part 1 today, and part 2 coming next week!  I had so much to share during this transitional time of year (for parents in particular) that I just didn’t want to overwhelm your inbox. 😊

Can you believe summer’s almost over? If you’ve got kids over 4 or 5, a little more routine is around the corner, and word on the street is that that feels good... so hang in there! 🥳

But before we talk about that… I’ve got two invitations for you.

First up: Did you get everything you wanted out of summer?

Is there something on your summer bucket list that you’ve been itching to do but just haven’t gotten around to yet? If the answer is yes, there’s still time!

I had my heart set on camping and making s’mores, so guess what? We’re pitching a tent in the backyard this weekend and calling it a win.

What’s on your list?

As Warren Miller famously said when closing every ski film, “If you don’t do it this year, you’ll be one year older when you do.”

So do it now... no regrets!

Second: Take a moment to remember the good stuff.

We’re so quick to jump to the next thing, but before you do, take a moment to fully immerse yourself in what was good this summer.

Did you know that remembering the good stuff activates the same part of your brain as actually experiencing it again? Why not double-dip and relive those moments? Here’s some science to back it up.

Think about the lighting, the sounds, the feelings, the smells, what you were wearing, who you were with, where you were… What was delicious? What were some of the highs of your summer? It doesn't have to be big... Just lock those memories in! And if you’ve got kiddos, get them to do it too.

Locking in those memories now will make it easier to recall them later when you might need a little pick-me-up or are feeling a bit nostalgic.

Life is good, my friends. Let the good stuff blow you away.
Lotsa Love,
Abbey
