What is THIS moment asking for?
Have you noticed the shift in the air? Summer's calling us to pause, breathe, and listen.
What is THIS moment truly asking of you?
Maybe you've always done things a certain way, juggling a thousand tasks, pushing through exhaustion, feeling like you need to do it all. But what if this summer is inviting you to try something different?
What if, instead of filling every moment with tasks and chores and creating the perfect "thing," you allowed yourself the freedom to slow down? To savor the sunshine, to spend more time with friends, to embrace ease and dare I say it… joy and FUN?!
I recently returned from a relaxing and fun family vacation where everything I needed was right in front of me... decisions could unfold with the day. But as soon as I got home, the sheer number of chores, texts, and plans I needed to make or respond to felt... overwhelming.
The difference in what was taking my attention was so glaringly obvious.
And so, in the midst of the washing machine spin of life, I decided to slow it all down… to focus on what was absolutely essential, and create room to prioritize more of the joyful almost “vacation-like” energy of summer. Long and luxurious evenings filled with great conversations, juicy watermelons and melting ice creams, playful time in the pool, and sleepovers.
I carefully reviewed my to-do list and realized that more than half of the items were "good to do" but not “absolutely necessary” and so, I cut them from the list (well, to be honest, just put them on another list that I can look at in a month).
Everyday since, I’ve done the same. I’m simplifying and it’s liberating.
Other “moments” of the year I will probably feel different, ready to get it all done and then some… but tuning in this week and imagining the rest of summer, I’m slowing it down and embracing as many vacation vibes as I can.
You don't have to do it all to feel worthy. Your value isn't in how much you accomplish or how perfect it all is. It’s how you show up to what you do. It’s who you are. And when you tune into yourself and your needs and desires, that version of YOU gets to blossom, shine, and play.
My invitation - take a moment today or this week to tune in and in that quiet space, see if an answer appears. What does your heart crave? What does your soul need? What is THIS moment calling for? What would bring you summer JOY?
And if that’s too broad, give yourself some yes/no questions, or This or That… the answer is there, you just have to ask.
Sending you Lotsa Love and Summah Fun Vibes!
