The Real Reason You’re Exhausted (and how to change it)

So many of us are feeling the weight of a full life.

What now?

Two things to consider:
1. Trim your to-do list—Not everything deserves a spot right now.
2. Radically accept your reality—even the messy parts.

Cutting back isn’t just about doing less—it’s about creating space to actually appreciate what’s already there.

Lately, this has been on my mind, maybe because I’m reading Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman. Highly recommend—but fair warning: it might just rearrange your entire mindset. 🤯

I’ve been cutting things from my list—or wildly re-prioritizing their urgency—because I’m accepting my limits. Yes, I could get it all done, but at what expense?

Right now, my life has a specific menu. I'm in a special chapter, and the more I accept and embrace it, the easier—and dare I say, more fun—it all feels.

Yes, life is full, and there’s plenty of noise, but damn—there’s SO MUCH JOY in it too if I allow myself to see it.

But when I get caught in the whirlwind of "busy-ness," I disconnect. And when I disconnect, I miss it - the small, fleeting, beautiful moments that make up a life. The ones that aren't urgent or big, but matter just the same... maybe even the most.

So, my thousands of carpool texts? The Beautiful Mind-level logistics of making sure everyone is where they need to be, with the right gear, at the right time? I’ve cleared enough space to embrace this chapter. To love it. And on the days I don’t? My kids are the first to remind me—"This is the BEST!!"

As we're midway into another full week, I invite you to ask yourself:

➡️ Am I spending my time the way I truly want to?
➡️ Where can I create space—not just to do less, but to be more present?

With you in this,
Abbey
