✨ The Power of Community: We're Not Meant To Do It All Alone ✨
Do you ever feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? Like there’s no one else who understands what you're going through?
Or like you should be grateful with what you have but find yourself constantly thinking about what you’re striving for (and don't have)?
Or you hear such sad news, that it makes you feel stuck and heavy and almost lost in what to do?
I get it—sometimes, the weight of the world, or the pressure to do everything ourselves can feel really overwhelming.
But here’s the thing: you don’t have to do it all alone and in fact, you’re not meant to. 💡
Community is one of the most powerful forces in our lives and I think we forget about its power in the individual “picture perfect” lives we create. We can accidentally isolate ourselves more than we realize as we're getting all the things done, and then all that weight builds up and all of a sudden, we're under a mountain.
When we gather, we lift each other up, share our wisdom, and create space for each other to be seen and grow.
It's like that quote by Helen Keller: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." And it’s true—when we lean on the people around us, and perhaps get inspired by a cause that drives big engagement and meaningful action, we unlock a strength we didn’t know we had. 💪
I wanna remind you today that your community is a resource, not just for help, but for inspiration, connection, joy, and belonging. The right community can hear your woes and give that energy a place to alchemize and find purpose. Whether it’s a close-knit group of friends, a supportive family, or even a community of like-minded individuals like ours—we thrive when we’re reminded that we’re together.
And don’t take simple and casual gatherings for granted either. I’ve been blown away by the joy and connection I feel with a group of neighborhood women I barely knew two months ago. One of them initiated a super casual gathering rotating houses every two weeks from 7-9pm. We each bring a dish or bevy that’s lying around, the host asks one fun get-to-know you question that brings deeper awareness and connection-- and soft pants are encouraged (my favorite part).
This low lift (read EASY) gathering makes our neighborhood feel much more connected and my drive down our street even sweeter because I can send specific love to everyone’s home.
Community engagement can very specifically lift your energy creating even more space for meaningful time and attention.

Share Your Worries, Pains, and Struggles: Vulnerability builds trust. When you open up about what’s hard for you, you give others permission to do the same and quite simply, it creates deep, authentic connections. If this is a new group where that might feel hard, I find sharing embarrassing stories is also an easy ice-breaker. It gives everyone a bit of humility and over time, your conversations can include something more meaningful.
Celebrate Wins Together: We don’t do this nearly enough - we’re onto the next thing before the dust has even settled! In our isolated worlds, whether as an entrepreneur, an executive, a retiree, or a stay at home mom, not many people see all the amazing work you do (perhaps not even you!). Share your wins with people who truly understand and let them cheer you on—it amplifies the joy! 🎉 🤸. This week a girlfriend told me about how nervous she was for a talk she was giving to 200+ women for the first time; you better believe I celebrated her bravery, badassery, and the accomplishment of doing something new. That is NOT easy and should absolutely be celebrated. We can also celebrate those who share their tears when they often hold them in. And how about those who honor their needs and say "no" to that thing they had planned with others because their body was exhausted and simply said "please don't make me go." And we should also celebrate those who WENT to the thing because they know they can isolate too much and just have to say "yes!" It's all personal but the point is... allow yourself to be seen and celebrated! It's energizing.
Ask for Support: It’s okay to ask for help, whether you need advice, a sounding board, or just someone to listen. Remember, you're surrounded by people who want to support you. 💜
Offer Your Gifts: Community isn't just about receiving—it's about giving. What can you offer? Maybe it's your listening ear, a unique skill, or just your presence. Your contribution matters.
Here’s an invitation for you this week: Reach out to one person in your community—whether it’s a friend, family member, or colleague—and ask them how they're really doing and how you can support them. Even a simple conversation can create a ripple effect of connection and kindness.
(And by the way, if someone were to ask you how they could support you, do YOU know the answer? If not... get thinking!)
When we come together, we realize that our struggles are shared, and our successes are collective. 🌱
You’re not alone. We’re all in this together, and that’s where the magic happens.
With love and in community,
Abbey
