Is Your Life Full or Just Busy? š§
Lately, when people ask how I am, my brain starts doing somersaults with everything going on. But instead of blurting out, "Itās been crazy busy!", Iām choosing a different, and more honest, response: "Itās really full."
Thereās a subtle but important difference between being busy and being full. Busy? It feels overwhelming, noisy, chaotic, like life is spinning out of control and I am barely keeping up. But full? That feels like I'm choosing how I spend my time, even if it's packed.
For a long time, I used to cringe when people said, āYouāre so busy!ā It made me feel like I wasn't in control of my time. But looking back, my life was full. Full of family, meaningful work, and moments that really meant something to me. I just didn't know how to frame it that way.
Life isn't about being busy. It's not about squeezing things in; it's about being present for the things that matter.
And the Words We Use Matter. š£ļø
When you say your life is busy, it can feel like life is happening to you. But calling it full, itās like taking ownership ā youāre acknowledging that your time is filled with purpose (if it is!).
So, how's your life feeling these days? If itās leaning more on the "busy" side, maybe there's room to adjust. Can you tweak that packed schedule? Can you just say "no" to one thing? Can you swap out a draining obligation for something that lights you up? āØ
Hereās the truth: we can create our lives and intentionally AND it will always have its chaos and ups and downs. But we get to choose how we frame it.
A simple shift ā from busy to full ā can make all the difference. š«
Sending love to all y'all!
